Get Involved

Join Us

No formal commitment. No pressure. Just people who care about the community pitching in.

Ways to join

Mundo Lingo is run by people who showed up, stuck around, and wanted to help. We call them Collaborators — not because it’s a formal role, but because that’s what they do. Some host events, some take photos, some just point us toward a great venue. If any of the paths below feel like you, open the form and tell us about yourself.

Open your own Mundo Lingo

Start and run your own weekly Mundo Lingo in your city. A highly responsible role where communication, organization, and consistency matter. You’ll create a space where people connect — and ensure it works, every week.

What’s involved

Taking ownership and following through, communicating clearly, noticing details others miss, staying calm under pressure, and upholding high standards — while coordinating the venue, promoting locally, leading ambassadors, and maintaining a consistent, high-quality experience every week.

Join the Ambassador Team

Ambassadors are the face of every event. You welcome people at the door, hand them their flags, deliver the speech, and set the tone for the night. You’re also the first to notice when someone’s standing alone or when the energy needs adjusting.

What’s involved

Being present and on your feet all night, welcoming every newcomer with care, managing the flag table, connecting people who look lost, reading the room, and holding the line on atmosphere — calmly, warmly, and without exception.

Join our pool of Photographers

Mundo Lingo photographers work like candid snipers — capturing people absorbed in conversation, not posing for the camera. You shoot in low light, from a distance or a high vantage point, and deliver images that make people proud to share where they were last night.

What’s involved

Shooting with a DSLR in dimly lit bars, finding the light on faces, blending into the background, curating a tight album of 25–35 of your best shots, and maintaining the editorial standard that keeps Mundo Lingo’s visual identity consistent worldwide.

Cozy bar interior with warm lighting and flowers

Know a venue we should be at?

We look for independent bars with warm lighting, room to stand, and enough character that people want to stay. No chains, no spotlights, no screens — just a space where 150 people can feel at home.

What’s involved

Tell us about a bar or cultural space you think fits — the atmosphere, the lighting, the layout, how it feels on a weeknight. It can be a bar you own, or one that you enjoyed as a customer.

Spread the word

We’ll send you our posters and cards — for free — so the people around you can discover Mundo Lingo. If you’re at a university, language school, hostel, cultural centre, or co-working space and happy to share them, this is for you.

What’s involved

Leaving them where they’ll be seen and mentioning Mundo Lingo to the people who’d benefit most. Tell us where you are and we’ll send you everything you need — with our deepest gratitude.
